About Us

In recent years, we’ve seen a drastic increase in the number of children who attend a full day of school on an empty stomach. Through conversations with parents, teachers and our own school-aged kids, we feel the situation is becoming more serious by the day, and feel driven to do something about it. Recent statistics show that almost 38% of our young population already lives below the poverty line, and the current economy is making the situation worse.

We, at Lunchbox for All, have a mission: To provide healthy, nutritious lunchboxes to all children in need in the Ottawa Valley so that no child attends school hungry. When we feed the belly, we feed the mind so that every child can focus on their education, and being a kid.

Our approach to fighting hunger is simple: we build partnerships with local businesses and distributors, community retailers, local food growers, farmers markets and other partners who share our vision and can contribute safe and nutritious foods to our cause.

As a not-for-profit food distributor and caring social citizens, we also feel compelled to support environmental sustainability, help reduce waste, and create a healthier future for generations to come.
